The tirzepatide we prescribe is compounded — a patient-specific medication prepared per prescription in a state Board of Pharmacy or FDA-licensed compounding facility. Compounded medications must use ingredients from FDA-licensed facilities and are tested for potency, sterility, and purity. Nulevel Wellness works exclusively with licensed sterile compounding pharmacies in the United States.
Compounded medications are legal but are not made in large batches for the general public, so they do not undergo the FDA’s pre-market approval process the way brand-name drugs do.
